Malaysia Airlines Announces New Head of Marketing

Malaysia Airlines announced the appointment of Schrene Goh Miow Ying as Head of Marketing, effective 15 December 2016.

She brings to the organization more than 15 years in regional marketing and digital experience in various industries including aviation, telecommunications and consumer goods.

Schrene was most recently the head of marketing, communications, brand and digital for U Mobile where she was oversaw the digital engagement and overall direction of the department. In just one year under her leadership, U Mobile won Malaysia’s Strongest Brand Award 2016 in the Telecommunications category.

Prior to this she was with AirAsia for over five years, as marketing manager in 2010 for the entire ASEAN network including the India market. Whilst there she successfully turned the India market to profit and grew Ancillary Income from just RM800k (approx. $243k AUD) to more than RM1Bil a year.

Schrene graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Multimedia University.
