Carat Melbourne Lures Top Talent To Bolster Ranks On Key Clients

Carat Melbourne has secured three of Melbourne’s top agency talents – Matt Hunt, Ken Lam, and Jonathan Provost – to join the team at a director level to lead some of the agency’s key client accounts.

Matt Hunt joins the Carat ranks from his previous role as group sales manager at Pandora. With over 11 years’ media experience at the likes of Starcom, Mindshare, and cummins&partners, Hunt has worked across a variety of categories and global brands including Ford, Asahi Premium Beverages, and Lion Foods.

Hunt will find his considerable FMCG experience an advantage as he takes on the business director role on the Schweppes and RSPCA accounts at Carat.

Ken Lam comes to Carat from Mindshare with over 12 years’ experience in client service – expertise which he will put to good use leading the key client accounts of Medibank and ahm in the role of client service director.

Lam has a considerable background in automotive and FMCG, having worked as the client service lead on big name brands including Coles, Mazda, Ford, and Drummond Golf.

Jonathan Provost has been recruited from a digital background with considerable experience working in a specialist capacity on both client and agency side, with time spent at Mindshare, Carsales, and Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) agency, Isobar. He will work closely with Ken Lam as a digital director on the Medibank and ahm accounts to help bolster the account’s internal leadership structure.

Carat Melbourne managing director, Joseph Pardillo, said of the appointments, “A thriving culture is the cornerstone to any successful business, so attracting and retaining the very best talent in market has always been a key business imperative for us at Carat.

“Our recent recruits are not only fit-for-purpose to the Carat vision, but all also have deep areas of expertise that we are excited to see them apply to our clients on the front line.

“These hires have come off the back of a strong period of client retention, organic new business growth, and extended remits across some of our longest-standing client relationships.”
