Carpool Karaoke Gets Two Brand Partners- McDonald’s & Coca-Cola

The Late Late Show with James Corden popular segment Carpool Karaoke has found its first brand partners with both McDonald’s and Coca-Cola appearing during Selena Gomez carpool segment for a new summer sweepstakes, “Sip. Share. Win!,” featuring all three companies- CBS, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola.

Carpool Karaoke session have featured superstar musicians like Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Adele, Justin Bieber, Sia and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. This is the first time CBS, the network behind the program, has blatantly integrated brands into the segment. In a previous Justin Bieber’s Carpool Karaoke, Corden and the Beebs chomped down on McDonald’s fries, but neither named the company or featured the logo.

In a Coca-Cola media release the company said: McDonald’s and Coca-Cola are teaming up to get America singing their favorite summer songs for the chance to win a VIP experience at “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in L.A. or one of hundreds of $250 StubHub gift codes. Through the Shazam app, fans can use their mobile phone to record themselves singing their own unique karaoke video using one of the specially marked Coke cups available at McDonald’s restaurants.”

Five minutes into Carpool Karaoke segment with Gomez, Corden said he was hungry and they pulled into a McDonald’s drive-thru and placed an order. That’s after the two of them performed on a rollercoaster and took a ginger shot.
