Tyre Brand Nabs Naming Rights For Aussie Rally Championship

Tyre brand Kumho Tyre has stepped up its motorsports sponsorship portfolio by securing the exclusive naming rights to the Kumho Tyre Australian Rally Championship® for 2016.

The naming rights partnership will see all competitors running on Kumho Tyres, as well as the Kumho Tyre brand integrated throughout all components of this iconic  Australian motorsport championship.

According to Kumho Tyre Australia national marketing manager, David Basha, the ARC forms a key part of Kumho’s sports marketing strategy.

“Kumho is proud to be closely aligned with the ARC and we are very pleased to be able to enhance our strong partnership by stepping up to the naming rights position this year,” said =Basha.

“We’ve been a significant contributor to the sport over the past 6 years and we are keen to continue our relationship into 2016 and beyond.

“The Kumho Tyre ARC covers some of the toughest roads in Australia and the knowledge we gain through rally directly influences the development of our normal road tyres for the Australian market.”

The 2016 Kumho Tyre Australian Rally Championship® kicked off in Western Australia with the Quit Forest Rally on 22nd April, followed by another 4 rounds across Australia, culminating with the final round at Rally Australia in Coffs Harbour on 17th November.
