Business Chicks Appoints New CEO In Australia

Business Chicks has appointed Olivia Ruello to the role of Australian CEO following the organisation’s rapid global growth in 2015.

Founder and current CEO, Emma Isaacs, will relocate to the US in late December to spearhead the company’s expansion into North America where they launched in July of this year.

Isaacs’ move to the US is set to benefit their Australian members as expansion into the new territory brings growth opportunities and access to top international talent. Isaacs will take on a Global CEO role and split her time between America and Australia as she builds her American team and establishes the brand in the new market.

“I am an entrepreneur to the core and love the building stage of business,” Isaacs said.

“Business Chicks Australia is in an enviable position: we’re highly profitable and still growing and innovating. Our culture is rock solid, our team is second to none, and with Olivia leading the way I know it will continue to thrive, while I shift gears into the start up phase for Business Chicks USA.”

“Olivia and I have enjoyed a working relationship for over a decade now, and I’m excited to see where she takes the local business. Our members and partners are in the very best of hands with her and I wouldn’t be making this move without knowing wholeheartedly that she’s perfect for the role.”

In 2009 Ruello joined the Business Chicks team fulltime in the capacity of director – partnerships and brand, developing and managing the corporate partnership program before moving to the corporate sector, driving the leadership and culture agenda for the mid-market business banking segment at Commonwealth Bank.

Ruello will take up the post in January 2016, and said, “I am excited to be back in an entrepreneurial environment and look forward to serving our members and stakeholders and leading the Australian business which is positioned beautifully for further growth and expansion.”

Celebrating 10 years of business in Australia in September 2015, Business Chicks has increased its product base to include a four-day destination conference ‘Movers and Breakers’; a two-day exhibition ‘9 to Thrive’ this year; and a Diploma of Business program in partnership with BSchool.
