Radio Ratings: The Ups, The Downs And Everything In Between
We’re somehow up to Survey 7 in GfK’s radio ratings for the year, and below we’ve rounded up all you need to know in the brekkie and drive slots in each market.
Melbourne
Breakfast: 3AW continues to dominate in top position with a 20.3 per cent share, up 1.9 per cent from the previous survey.
ABC774 is in second place with 12.8 per cent, however this is down 0.8 per cent.
Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M brekkie show The Hot Breakfast retains third place with 9.3 per cent, a growth of 0.4 per cent.
Drive: Hamish & Andy stay at number one for SCA’s HIT101.9 wtih 12.8, despite dropping 0.2 per cent from the survey prior.
3AW grew 0.3 per cent to 10.4 per cent this survey, maintaining second.
NOVA100 also remains in third with 9.7 per cent, growing 0.2.
Sydney
Breakfast: Alan Jones on 2GB continues to dominate brekkie radio with a 13.8 per cent share this survey. However that’s a drop of 1.3 per cent from the survey prior.
ABC702 is still in second with 12.0 per cent, up a solid 1.7 per cent.
In third place is Kyle & Jackie O from Australia Radio Network’s KIIS1065. The duo grew 0.6 per cent to overtake WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda from the survey before.
Drive: ABC702 jumped 1.5 per cent this time around to maintain the top spot. The station currently sits at 12.2 per cent.
NOVA969.9 with Kate, Tim & Marty bounced up to second place with 10.6 per cent, a boost of 1.1 per cent from survey 6.
KIIS1065 with Hughesy & Kate have slipped up to third, overtaking 2GB, with a 9.1 per cent share, up 0.8 per cent.
Adelaide
Breakfast: It’s a tie for first place between ARN’s MIX102.3 with Jodie & Soda and ABC891. Both stations achieved a 14.5 per cent share. However Jodie & Soda dropped 0.8 per cent from the previous survey, whereas ABC went up by 1 per cent.
In second place was FIVEaa with 12.6 per cent, a drop of 0.6 per cent from previous survey.
Drive: ARN’s MIX102.3 with Hughesy & Kate dominated the drive slot with 15. 3 per cent, however it was a drop of 0.6 per cent.
NOVA91.9 with Kate, Tim & Marty were in second place with 12.3 per cent, a drop of 0.4 per cent.
And a newcomer in third place is HIT107 with Hamish & Andy.
Brisbane
Breakfast: ABC612 was once again number one with 15.5 per cent share this survey, a boost of 1.5 per cent.
ARN’s 97.3FM with Robin, Terry & Bob maintained second place with 13.1 per cent, increasing the share this survey by 0.6 per cent.
NOVA106.9’s Ash, Kip & Luttsy had a share of 10.7 per cent this time round, securing third place despite a 0.7 per cent drop since survey 6.
Drive: Hamish & Andy on SCA’s HIT105.3 jumped to first position with a share of 14.0 per cent, a 1 per cent leap.
Previously first place, ARN’s 93.7FM with Hughesy & Kate are now second with 13.5 per cent, an unchanged share since last survey.
NOVA106.9’s Kate, Tim & Marty jumped 0.9 per cent to nab third spot with a 13.3 per cent share this survey.
Perth
Breakfast: NOVA93.7 with Nathan, Nat & Shaun continues its first place with a 14.0 per cent share this survey, a jump of 0.5 per cent from survey six.
SCA’s MIX94.5 with Clairsy, Shane & Kymba came second again with 13.0 per cenet, a drop of 0.2 per cent.
ABC720 was in third with 12.8 per cent, an increase of 0.3 per cent.
Drive: NOVA93.7 remains strong in Perth with the drive team Kate, Tim & Marty maintaining first place with 15.4 per cent – this despite a drop of 0.9 per cent from the survey prior.
SCA’s MIX94.5 with Lisa & Pete push into second place with a 15.0 per cent share, up 0.4 per cent.
Hamish & Andy on SCA’s HIT92.9 dropped 1.8 per cent to third place, with a 13.6 per cent share in survey 7.
