Sizmek Boosts Team With New Hires And Promotions
Open ad management company Sizmek has announced several key new hires and promotions, as it continues to expand its programmatic, mobile, video, and data business across the Asia-Pacific region.
The company announced that Scott Ries has been elevated to the title of APAC technical services director and mobile specialist for Sizmek, formally extending his reach into Asia.
The Sydney-based head of programmatic trading, Dylan Robinson, has also been promoted to APAC head of commercial for the recently formed Media Solutions division.
Ries brings more than sixteen years’ experience in the digital advertising and technology industry. He joined Sizmek after its acquisition of Eyeblaster in 2010, where he was head of creative account management. Ries now leads a team responsible for managing highly technical creative campaigns for some of the world’s largest advertisers.
Robinson has been part of Sizmek’s programmatic trading team for over three years, working across display, mobile and video, and working closely with trading desks, and demand and supply side platform providers. Prior to Sizmek, Robinson was APAC sales director for SpotX.
“We’re pushing ahead with our growth strategy in Asia to provide advertisers, agencies, publishers, and trading desks with an end-to-end ad management solution across mobile, video, data and programmatic technologies,” said Carolyn Bollaci, VP, global accounts, Asia-Pacific.
“Scott and Dylan both have a wealth of knowledge and experience within the industry and have formed long and trusted relationships with clients and partners across the region.”
As the demand for data solutions and technologies increases in Asia the company has promoted Fay Koo to data product specialist for APAC. Koo joined Sizmek in 2010 through the acquisition of Eyewonder, and has since become an expert on Sizmek’s wide range of data products, from ad verification to attribution. In this new role, she will be using her technical knowledge and expertise to meet the growing needs of clients and partners across the region.
To support the continued expansion of the company in Asia-Pacific, Sizmek has also hired Ayaan Mohamud (pictured at the very top) as head of marketing for APAC, based out of the company’s Sydney office. She brings five years of digital experience with her, having worked in both agency and client-side roles in Europe.
Prior to Sizmek, Mohamud was the European marketing manager for DataXu, a leading programmatic marketing provider. Before DataXu, she worked in the EMEA marketing team for comScore where she was responsible for all marketing programs in their two largest European markets, the UK and Germany.
Sizmek also recently announced that it has hired former PHD account executive, Keaton Hulme-Jones as a strategic account manager in its Melbourne office. He is responsible for advising clients across digital strategy, ad tech, and media solutions.
“Sizmek are digital trailblazers, produce great innovation, have a complete suite of excellent products and I’m glad to work with an amazing bunch of people in the Australian office,” said Hulme-Jones.
The announcements follow the recent elevation of Singapore-based Ryan Murray, the former general manager of mobile DSP, StrikeAd, to spearhead the company’s new Media Solutions Unit in the Asia-Pacific region. Sizmek acquired StrikeAd in May, and Murray was one of its early employees.
The Media Solutions division includes Sizmek’s programmatic services business, StrikeAd by Sizmek, ad verification tools, and mobile tracking and targeting – secured through the acquisition of Aerify last year.
