Seven Overruled In Court Case And Pulls Pin On Restaurant Revolution

Channel Seven execs can take no more and have canned its ill-fated cooking program Restaurant Revolution after just two miserable weeks.

The decision comes after Seven had spent most of this week in court trying to have Nine’s The Hotplate taken off-air due to, what it claimed, were similarities to Seven’s highly successful My Restaurant Rules.

Seven was overruled in the case yesterday.

The network’s decision came after Restaurant Revolution plumbed to ratings as low as 400,000 viewers. However, reports are that the remainder of the shows will be moved from prime time to graveyard slots later in the week.

News Corp is this afternoon reporting that the hole left by the failed show will be filled by episodes of Highway Patrol, Motorway Patrol and a show that B&T will definitely be tuning into Cats Make You Laugh Out Loud.
