Ensemble Hires First Head Of Art And Design

Full-service creative agency Ensemble has hired award-winning art director Steve Liu as the agency’s first head of art and design.

With more than 20 years of creative experience in the industry, Liu has worked across a diverse client portfolio that has included Sony, Volkswagen, Caltex, Arnott’s, Lindt and Tourism New South Wales. At Ensemble he will be responsible for the agency’s visual output across a suite of clients.

Liu has worked with some of Australia’s most visible creative agencies including GPY&R Sydney, FNL Communications, Euro RSCG and FCB.

“I have been attracted to Ensemble by its non-traditional set up and because of the great multi-channelled work it does with clients,” said Liu. “I’m excited by the opportunity to use my experience in collaboration with the expertise they bring in content creation, activations and sponsorships.”

Justin Ricketts, CEO of Ensemble Australia, said having an executive of Liu’s experience and quality was an important step for the agency. “Steve’s experience on big brands with big agencies will bring a new dimension to our creative capabilities,” said Ricketts. “We want to ensure strong and effective creativity flows through all media we engage. His pedigree is a very good fit for us.”
