Access PR Appoints Six Staff On Back Of New Business

Sydney-based Access PR has appointed six new staff, including five new roles, in the past six months off the back of new business wins and a restructure for a stronger focus on digital.

There are two new digital roles with Paul Goldsmith joining as digital director, and Felicity Wright, formerly of The White Agency, as content and community manager.

Also joining Access is senior consultant Fiona Wood, who previously worked at We Are Social and One Green Bean; Sam Pearson, who returns to the agency in a promotion from account director to senior consultant, Winsome Wild, ex-Double Edge PR as account manager; and graduate Laura Minns as account executive.

“We’ve long worked across owned media channels but it is time to step up our digital capabilities as a stand-alone skillset as well as a fully integrated one,” Access CEO, Andrea Kerekes, said.

“There is still a fair share of smoke and mirror ‘digital magic’ going on from comms agencies being pitched to clients when what they need are solutions that work from jargon-free specialists who understand the big picture.”

Media relations still sits at the core of the agency but the addition of dedicated social media capabilities and digital offerings like website builds, SEO/SEM campaigns, EDMs and analytics significantly repositions the business for future growth.

“We still deliver a ridiculous amount of media coverage for clients when needed, but we can now also equally deliver and measure a targeted Facebook app,” said Kerekes.
