There’s a new mind and body studio in town, Happy Melong. Independent Melbourne agency, The Reactor, has helped not only launch the brand, but also created the unique name.
With a cluttered health and fitness marketplace reaching ‘peak yoga’ a while ago, the team behind Happy Melon saw the opportunity to build a connection between fitness, yoga and mindfulness.
“These days, we are more likely to recharge our devices than recharge ourselves,” said one of the founding partners, Liv Downing, “We wanted to create a sanctuary that put as much focus on getting the mind right as it does getting the body right. We believe this powerful combination of mental and physical practices is the answer to living a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life. That was our brief to everyone who helped bring this project to life, from our architect to our advertising agency.”
Creative director Nick Brown relished the opportunity to have input on the project from the very start. “It’s rare to get an opportunity to shape a new entity,” said Brown, “Liv and the team showed a lot of bravery and belief in their approach to creating this innovative studio, and that flowed through to how they worked with us to create the brand. Everything from the name, look and feel, right through to advertising and the website were all up for grabs. Nothing existed previously- which for a creative agency is very exciting.”
