RadiumOne has announced three new hires, further testimony that Australian brands and agencies are embracing the opportunity to gather and activate consumer sharing data – to connect the dots between owned, earned and paid marketing channels.

Michael Whiteside joins the team in the role of Victorian/NZ sales director, and Luke Bussell (pictured above) as head of business development – Australia. The marketing technology company is also dialing up its data services capability, appointing Ameya Bhave as RadiumOne Australia’s first locally based data scientist.

Adam Furness, director of sales and business development, said ongoing commercial success had led to the need to further increase RadiumOne’s presence across Australia and New Zealand.

“We have great momentum in Australia where our clients have embraced our ability to help them to gather and activate their owned and earned sharing data to improve paid media effectiveness,” said Furness.

“We are proving that tapping into the sharing economy accesses valuable intent signals that fuels both brand and performance campaign success. To service our fast growing customer base we are expanding the team and introducing local data science expertise.

“Michael Whiteside is a great hire for us, he is regarded as one of the best and most respected Sales Directors in in the Victorian Market, and Luke Bussell will add a wealth of sales, media and management experience.

“To have a Data Scientist based locally will help our clients to activate their own and RadiumOne’s proprietary sharing data to maximum effect,” he added.

Michael Whiteside joins from Amobee, where he spent the past 18-months as Victorian sales director. Whiteside brings with him a decade of digital media experience in the Melbourne market involving cross-platform publishers (Yahoo!7) and cross-channel networks (Adconion and Amobee).  Demonstrating his ability to consistently exceed customer expectations and broker win-win solutions for both business and customer, Whiteside was also recently recognised as the client-voted Media i Victorian digital sales representative of the year.

Coming into the newly created head of business development role is Luke Bussell. Bussellmoves across from Brand New Media where he spent the past year as group partnership director. Prior to that Bussell was group sales manager at Southern Cross Austereo for eight years, establishing a proven track record of consistently delivering commercial success and exceeding client expectations. Bussell will be focused on growing publisher and rights holder partnerships.

Ameya Bhave has joined as RadiumOne’s first Australia based data scientist. “We are particularly impressed with Ameya’s diverse marketing and ecommerce background in large emerging markets,” said Adam Furness. Bhave was previously with one of Africa’s largest ecommerce marketplaces, VConnect. Prior to that he spent several years as a senior business analyst with Evalueserve, one of India’s largest banking and financial services companies.
