Frank Digital launches ‘What’s On’ Sydney

Digital agency Frank Digital and the City of Sydney have launched the ‘What’s On’ Sydney website, a digital platform for Sydneysiders and tourists alike to discover the best events Sydney has to offer.

The new website is also one of the first ever newly released ‘.sydney’ domains.

“We wanted to design a site with all users in mind,” said Matt Barbelli, creative director. “Not only is this a site that showcases all the wonderful events in the City of Sydney, but is also a platform to engage the Sydney community to submit events, and further add to the tapestry and vibrancy of Sydney.”

The new whatson.sydney features both a grid-style and map-view user interface, with advanced search capabilities and an integrated content management system.

Using a bespoke API framework to serve content, the website is secure and responsive across all platforms and devices.

“What’s On has been a key element of the City of Sydney’s marketing toolkit for several years and is one of our most heavily used marketing channels,” said Kate Deacon, manager of marketing and creative services at the City of Sydney.

“The opportunity to redesign and build a site of this calibre has meant we can deliver an even better digital service to the community.”
