Delacon Makes Three Senior Hires

Call analytics provider Delacon has made a number of senior hires including appointing former senior Optus manager Edgar Chieng to the newly created role as head of digital and strategy.

Chieng was with Singtel owned Optus for more than a decade most recently managing performance and insights for the digital marketing and sales teams.

He will oversee the development and execution of new initiatives at Delacon as well as delivering new digital-first customer experiences from data-driven insights.

Joining him is Alex Hitchcock who becomes head of account management in another newly created position.

He has ten years’ experience in delivering commercial results for clients including Dan Murphy’s, Fuji Xerox and the Endeavour Drinks Group, in addition to being a qualified chartered accountant.

Rounding out the new appointments is Dr. Arifur Rahman who becomes head of data science.

Before joining Delacon, he was working as research fellow in Australian National University (ANU) and was a research assistant in University of New South Wales when he started working on Delacon’s Speech Analytics platform.

Prior to starting his PhD he worked in the telecommunications industry for six years.

Delacon CEO Michael Center said: “The appointments of Edgar, Alex and Arifur further strengthens our capabilities to deliver leading call tracking data and speech analytics to our partners both in Australia and across the international markets we operate in.

“Each brings specialist skills to the business that will ensure we continue to grow and provide market-leading services. I welcome them all to the team.”

Delacon recently launched its speech analytics tool and has also announced a partnership with Partnerize, the leading provider of software solutions for digital partner marketing.
