Australia’s 50 Fastest Growing SMEs Revealed At SmartCompany WFI Smart50 Awards 2015

The fastest growing Australian SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) have been revealed at the annual SmartCompany WFI Smart50 Awards in Melbourne.

The Smart50 Awards recognise fast-growing independent Australian companies that have verified an increase in revenue year on year, for the past three years. During the live ceremony held at the Audi Centre Melbourne on October 29th, the top prize was awarded to boutique construction management company Hunter Mason.

The panel of expert judges also decided on the winners from six specialised categories.

The Top Exporter award was awarded to global athlete analytics leader Catapult. Top Digital Innovator was presented to customer insights and technology company Pureprofile, while juice bar Top Juice scooped up the Top Franchiser award.

Just For Pets scored both Top Retailer and a joint-win with My Cube Australia for the Community Hero category. Online wine retailer Vinomofo and business internet provider Broadband Solutions both received the Smart and Lasting award, which recognises businesses that have appeared on the Smart50 list for the past two years, have sustained revenue growth and show sold foundations for future development.

SmartCompany editor, Eloise Keating, hosted the awards evening. “The Smart50 awards showcase the talent and prowess of Australia’s leading small to medium businesses. We are proud to recognise such an accomplished and skilled group of entrepreneurs,” said Keating.

Special guest speakers included WFI’s national manager client service Karena Harley, the co-founder and director of finder.com.au Fred Schebesta, and a video address from MP Kelly O’Dwyer.

“The team here at WFI are very excited to be able to come together with SmartCompany to celebrate small business success through the WFI Smart50 Awards,” said Harley.

“For small business owners, the WFI Smart50 Awards is a fantastic opportunity to join with their peers at a fabulous event and celebrate a year of success for so many.

“We’d like to acknowledge the great achievements of all entrants and congratulate the worthy winners who have all demonstrated a high level of dedication to the success of their businesses – proving they are the top smart, innovative and fast-growing businesses.

“WFI are proud to support SMEs across Australia by sponsoring the Smart50 awards.”
