Perth strategic communications agency CGM Communications has announced the appointment of Rebecca Munro to the position of senior media adviser.

With over a decade’s experience in both radio and TV, Munro has built a reputation as one of WA’s top news reporters. She currently works at Network Ten in Perth as senior reporter, presenter, chief of staff and producer.

Munro’s appointment was announced at the official opening of CGM Communications’ new office in West Perth.

Daniel Smith, executive director and founder of CGM Communications, said he was thrilled with Munro’s appointment.

“Rebecca has the experience, aptitude and media connections to ensure our clients are serviced to the highest possible levels,” he said.

“Rebecca will help complete Perth’s best media team. She joins respected former ABC reporter and radio producer Rebecca Boteler, and award-winning print journalist Nicole Cox.

“With a heritage in government relations, this new recruitment strengthens our integrated media relations offering.”

Munro will commence her role at CGM Communications in January.

CGM Communications also used the office opening to celebrate the return of community engagement specialist Emma Gibbens, who was seconded to the ‘WA says YES’ campaign as WA state director.
