State Of Origin Train Campaign Gets Sydney-Siders Pumped For The Game

City of Sydney trains featuring NSW Blues and QLD Maroons players are currently making their way around in the lead up to tomorrow’s much anticipated 2015 State of Origin event.

The trains will be travelling to and from the ANZ stadium tomorrow night, transporting footy fanatics to one of the most exciting nights of the year.

A ‘train domination’ style campaign launch was utilised by Destination NSW, who worked with both TorchMedia and S&J to brand the externals and internals of Sydney trains carriages.  The media formats were chosen to maximise visibility along the train network, boost ticket sales and build excitement around the event.

The campaign was unveiled by the minister for trade, tourism and major events Stuart Ayres, along with the minister for transport and infrastructure Andrew Constance last week at Sydney Olympic Park.

Kirsty Dollisson, general manager of TorchMedia believes the State of Origin campaign is a great example of the right message in the right environment, given trains are the main mode of transport out to ANZ Stadium.

“We hope to see more brands taking advantage of synced external and internal train campaigns as it delivers unavoidable impact, the ability to create immersive experiences and an audience of over 1.5 million Sydney commuters,” said Dollisson.
