Ray and Evon were first introduced to viewers online and in cinemas in May 2015 before making their TV debut in June 2015.

This next phase of the campaign will showcase several new adventures for the loveable couple via three new 30 second TVCs, six new 15 second online edits, and eight new 10 second vignettes for social media.

To support the campaign message of “Don’t Waste Your Roof – Make Energy Fresh Daily”, there will also be a series of creative outdoor, transit and airport executions will draw people’s attentions to the roof spaces around them.

The campaign encourages people to consider solar with the call-to-arms “Don’t Waste Your Roof – Make Energy Fresh Daily”, with the focus on the collective role that Australian homeowners in postcodes across the country can play in making their own energy fresh daily.

“Ray and Evon have really struck a chord with people and they have been very effective at getting people to think differently about their roofs, about energy and about Origin,” said Natalie Davey, national manager – integrated brand communications, Origin.

“This phase of the campaign is about continuing to tell Ray and Evon’s story in an engaging, fun and entertaining way while also reinforcing how Origin can help people make their own energy fresh daily.”

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne is the creative agency behind this campaign, which commences on 6 September and will run until late October in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT through outdoor billboards, online advertising, cinema advertising and social media.

“It’s an opportunity fairly unique to Australia, so much sunshine just waiting to be exploited. So this unlikey couple are teaching the average house holder they have an untapped resource sitting right there on their roof.” said Evan Roberts, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne creative director.
