Metrix Consulting Expands To The East Coast

Business intelligence and strategy firm Metrix Consulting has formalised its presence on the East Coast with the opening of a Melbourne office.

Expansion has always been on the radar for Metrix, and in the last 12 months there has been strong demand from national clients for an office on the East Coast and in particular, Melbourne.

Founder and managing director, Marquis Pohla said this of the opening “This growth demonstrates that there is a strong appetite for a new breed of consultancy that is commercially focused, connects multiple information sources and tells you what you need to know without the clutter. I’m excited about establishing a presence on the East Coast to service our national clients, and bring a new approach to those we haven’t worked with.”

Metrix has appointed Asher Hunter to lead the Melbourne office and grow the business on the East Coast. Hunter recently returned to Melbourne after nearly five years in New York, where he was the vice president of Consulting for a multinational firm, and won the Advertising Research Foundation Great Mind Award. Hunter will be joined by Laura Millington to form the inaugural Melbourne Leadership Team. Millington is a highly regarded consultant who brings more than 10 years of experience across London, Melbourne and Sydney.

Hunter explains why he is excited about the opportunity to join a team of like-minded consultants and challenge existing paradigms in the industry. “I think there is huge potential in the world of intelligence and insights, but to reach this potential requires a different way of thinking. We need to move beyond a purely primary research mindset. So much information already exists; it just needs to be looked at through the right business lens. It’s also upon us to drive towards the ultimate business outcome and be more inspirational in terms of how insights are communicated. This is at the heart of what Metrix is about and why I’m so excited about joining the team.”
