Indy Agency Next Thursday Appoints Y&R’s David Fanning As Head Of Studio

Independent Brisbane agency next Thursday has announced the appointment of David Fanning as its new head of studio.

Fanning assumes responsibility for the agency’s integrated production offering, joining from Y&R, where he was a member of studio working across brands such as Tatts Lotteries, Suncorp and the Queensland government.

Prior to his role at Y&R, Fanning spent a decade producing creative with sports organisations such as Queensland Rugby, Australian Rugby, FFA and AFL.

His appointment comes on the back of a continued run of new business wins for next Thursday over the last 12 months.

Dan Adler, managing director of next Thursday, said: “I am excited that David has come on board. David brings a culture of creative that we look for, with the skill to play in multiple sandboxes.

“His appointment at next Thursday will be very practical for the direction of our agency.”

Commenting on his new role, Fanning said: “I love the creative disruption of nimbler, independent agencies. And at next Thursday, it’s never business as usual, so I think I’ll fit right in.”
