HOYTS and Smith’s Bring Back The Classics In New Campaign

HOYTS and Smith’s have joined forces to turn back the clock and bring back some much-loved classics for cinema-goers.

HOYTS Rewind will show movies such as Dirty Dancing, Rocky Horror Picture Show and Men in Black, in addition to more recent cult classics such as Fast and Furious 7 and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Smith’s will couple the return of these classic flicks by introducing Comebacks Chips, which will include a sneak peek of iconic fictional character Gobbledok.

The campaign, which is being delivered through PHD and Val Morgan, will see HOYTS and Smith’s come together in a full-branded cinema experience, according to Cath Barnard, planning director at PHD.

“Cinema will play a key role to support Smith’s bringing back two favourite flavours. By capitalising on the synergy between Smith’s and HOYTS rediscovering the classics, we are well-positioned to deliver a successful campaign for Smith’s.”

Olivia Sutherland, marketing manager at Smith’s, said: “Australians love a great comeback story. Smith’s have delivered this by re-releasing two iconic, fan-favourite flavours in Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Bega Cheese. In addition to this, Smith’s are excited to be working in collaboration with Val Morgan and HOYTS to deeply connect with cinema-goers by bringing back legendary movies from the past.”

Stephanie Mills, general manager of marketing and content at HOYTS, added: “We look forward to working with Smith’s to promote our 2017 program celebrating some iconic movie anniversaries. This initiative will bring more people together to watch iconic blockbusters on the big screen through our HOYTS cinema locations.”
