Australian clothing designer Katie Perry brings together local talent for a Christmas pop-up shop  in Paddington. This fresh take on retail showcases creative Australian-made designs in a one-stop shopping location leading up to the holiday season.

“William St. Collective brings together a group of designers to maximize the space, create a hub of creativity, and also to ensure that when a customer visits they know that every single item they see is made right here in Australia,” said Perry.

Perry is passionate about the Australian manufacturing industry and aims to help local designers market themselves in a situation where they may not be able to maintain a physical storefront. She has experienced first-hand the difficulties of running a retail business and saw this as an opportunity to market local designers.

Each of six carefully selected vendors will have a rented space in which to show off their talents, and staff for the duration of the three-month event. They receive full profit from their respective sales. The pop-up shop will be held at 34 William St. until  31 December.
