Amobee On The Lookout For New Boss As Matt Hunt Returns To Start-Ups

Amobee’s ANZ managing director has told B&T that he is leaving the global multi-channel digital marketing platform to go back to his first passion: start-ups.

This time, however, Hunt will be starting his own venture although he would not be drawn on exactly what it was going to entail. Hunt will remain on B&T’s editorial board.

Hunt lead Adconion through its acquisition by the 100% owned Singtel Group Digital Life company. Singtel is also the parent company of Optus.

“Amobee is in great shape now,” said Hunt, pointing to the obvious synergies that being owned by the same parent company as Optus afforded the company both in in Australia and throughout Asia.

“My real passion lies in start-ups and that’s where I want to head.”

Hunt said he was looking to launch his new business later this year.

He also told B&T that he had a shortlist of candidates to replace him and that he was impressed by the quality of the applicants.
