Motel Group Golden Chain Appoints BLOKE For Brand Refresh

Aussie accommodation network Golden Chain has appointed creative agency BLOKE.

The appointment comes after a three way competitive pitch.

Golden Chain is an Australian motel group, with hundreds of locations around the country as well as in New Zealand, Bali, and Vanuatu and they are looking to refresh their brand across all marketing touch points.

“We loved BLOKE’s insightful approach to the creative,” said Golden Chain general manager, Grant Goodall. “They have a vision that complements our brand and we are looking forward to a great partnership over the coming years.”

This is the first time a Sydney based agency has been appointed, having recently moved their marketing offices from Ballina in Northern NSW to Ultimo, Sydney.

“We are immensely excited about this engagement,” explained Mike O’Rourke, BLOKE’s creative partner. “As a kid, I spent many a school holiday in Golden Chain motels, so it brings back a lot of fond memories for me. And it’s this ingrained emotional attachment we will be looking to bring out through our ongoing communications.”
