Magnum Opus Partners Launches ‘MOP NEXT’ Internship Program

Last year saw the launch of Magnum Opus Partners’ (MOP’s) internship program, which partnered with RMIT and resulted in an art director and designer coming on board.

Today, MOP unveils its brand new internship program, MOP NEXT, which has a new structure and application process.

The MOP NEXT internship is open to all job roles within the industry, from art directors to account managers to planners.

The paid internship will work across a variety of different key clients and projects for two days a week over two months.

The lucky candidate will get access to all senior management, reporting directly to MOP creative director Pat Langton and managing director Erin Lightfoot.

“I remember being a junior art director and how difficult it was to get a start in this industry. I was one of the lucky ones, but I worked my butt off to get a start,” Langton said.

“We want to see the next Bill Bernbach or Dave Droga walk through our door. We want to see passion, drive, and – most importantly – creativity.

All jobs in an ad agency are creative. I want to see a great idea in the video they submit, something that makes me want to say, “I wish I thought of that”.

MOP launches the program with a film asking young kids about the advertising industry.

Applications open today and close at the end of March, and the successful candidate will be chosen shortly after.

Candidates simply need to submit a video, no longer than a minute, on why they want to be an art director, copywiter, planner, account manager, social media expert, online guru, producer etcetera etcetera.
