The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is continuing the tradition of moving and impactful Christmas installations with a new campaign called ‘Be Present’.

This year the message, produced by experiential and brand activation agency Graffiti Group, is positive and personal. It asks Victorian road users to ‘Be Present’ because ‘the best gift you can give is being there’.

A giant inflatable Christmas present structure will be installed at both metro and regional locations around Victoria; inside, people will be able to wrap themselves as presents in a photo booth allowing them to appear in their own gift cards.

Additionally, photos can be uploaded to a dedicated campaign microsite to create Christmas video eCards at bepresent.net.au.

It’s not just members of the public who are being encouraged to get involved. Graffiti’s Kerrie Spaargaren said: “Be Present is a unique way for corporates to spread a positive and caring Christmas message amongst clients, customers and staff.”

Christmas is one of the busiest and most high-risk times on Victorian roads. Cath Allen from the TAC said: “This is an original and thought-provoking way to appeal to all road users and ask them to think about how their actions on the roads could affect their friends and family.”
