Wednesday TV Ratings: Travel Guides Returns & Proves No Holiday For Nine’s Rivals

The returning Travel Guides proved the Top Dog of entertainment last night and handed Nine a Wednesday evening win.

Now in its sixth year, the comedy/travel show pulled 582,000 viewers last night according to OzTAM metro numbers.

It also put a sizeable dent in 10’s I’m A Celeb, that fell back to 398,000.

That meant Nine won the night with 28.5 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Seven did 25.8 per cent, the ABC nabbed third with 17.6 per cent. That left 10 with 17.3 per cent, while SBS enjoyed rare double-figures and 10.8 per cent thanks to Alone Australia (233,000).

Seven’s news was the most watched show of the evening with 887,000. Nine’s bulletin had 725,000 and ACA did 630,000.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (221,000) saw off Today (205,000).

Nine also did well with Hot Seat (339,000), its afternoon news (233,000) and Tipping Point (215,000).

Seven’s other starters included The Chase (518,000), Home And Away ( 416,000) and Britain’s Got Talent (234,000).

10’s News First did 246,000 and The Project could only muster 242,000.

The ABC’s evening ran this way – 7pm news (556,000), Hard Quiz (461,000), 7.30 (431,000) and The Weekly With Charlie Pickering (390.000).
