Piers Morgan Returns To Sky News Australia With 2023 Line Up
Sky News has revealed its 2023 line up with a new look weekday primetime schedule with Sharri Markson joining taking the 5 pm slot on Mondays through to Thursdays in February.
Piers Morgan will make a return to Sky News Australia with Piers Morgan Uncensored every Tuesday-Friday at 11 pm.
Peta Credlin’s slot has moved to 6 pm on weeknights while Andrew Bolt’s The Bolt Report will start at 7 pm each Monday-Thursday.
Chris Kenny, who previously held the 5 pm slot, will host Chris Kenny Tonight at 8 pm. Paul Murray Live, meanwhile, will return to its 9 pm timeslot each Sunday-Thursday.
Launching on the primetime schedule will be The Late Debate at 10 pm each Monday-Thursday hosted by James Macpherson, Liz Storer, and Caleb Bond and promises to bring “debate and discussion with passion, and a bit of late-night fun.”
Former Queensland Senator and Sky News Contributor Amanda Stoker will host Sunday with Stoker at 7:00pm. Sky said that Stoker will bring “conviction and common sense to all the big issues.”
With the coronation of King Charles III coming in May, Sky will debut The Royal Report, a new weekly program hosted by SkyNews.com.au contributor Caroline Di Russo Sundays at 10:00pm. Russo’s new show promises to have “all the latest information from her team of Royal experts and insiders” — not just titbits from Prince Harry’s new book.
Peter Stefanovic will host First Edition from 5.30 am on Weekdays and will cross live to the FOX Sports News Team and Sky News Weather. AM Agenda with Laura Jayes will follow at 9 am with NewsDay hosted by Tom Connell and Ashleigh Gillon at 11 am.
Chief news anchor Kieran Gilbert and political editor Andrew Clennell will lead Afternoon Agenda live from Parliament House, Canberra every weekday at 2 pm as well as hosting Sunday Agenda at 8 am.
Ross Greenwood will return for Business Now on weekdays at 4:30 pm and Business Weekend, on Sundays at 11 am. Greenwood will also host a new series, The Secrets of My Success profiling Australia’s most successful and colourful business leaders.
Sky News will be launching, The Rita Panahi Show: Overtime, a new digital-only show on Flash every Monday. It will also be available as a podcast across all Sky News digital platforms including SkyNews.com.au and Sky News Australia’s YouTube channel.
Rowan Dean’s Outsiders will be a weekly one-on-one podcast with “mavericks and gamechangers.” A new Sky News Australia app will launch in early 2023 with content delivered in “a fresh new way,” apparently.
Paul Whittaker, chief executive officer, Sky News Australia said:
“As we look to the year ahead, we will continue to bring Australians quality public interest journalism and a diverse range of news, opinion and investigative programming across subscription and free-to-air television, digital, social media, and audio platforms.
“As our audience expects, we will strive to tell all sides of the story and will not shy away from the broad spectrum of viewpoints on any number of issues which impact our nation.”
