APN Outdoor Gets On Board With Sydney’s Mardi Gras And Encourages Clients To Do The Same

APN Outdoor has this week launched a promotion encouraging the Sydney media market to, quite literally, get on board with the Mardi Gras this Saturday night in Sydney.

Using their recently announced Australian Olympic Team Partnership for thematic inspiration, the Outdoor leaders are looking for guests on their rainbow bus to celebrate the iconic Sydney event.

APN Outdoor’s #RoadtoRio maxibus will be completely wrapped in rainbow attire as it hosts guests of the Outdoor leaders, including media clients and agency representatives. Those lucky enough to make the bus are encouraged to dress in their best ‘sporting’ white, with feathers and glitter optional for the chance to jump aboard the Australian Olympic Committee’s float, an honour that will be awarded to the four best dressed.

The promotion came to fruition through a collaboration with the AOC and is indicative of APN Outdoor’s eagerness to embrace Rio’s Carnivàl spirit here in Sydney. From one world famous parade to another, the #RoadtoRio bus is a great opportunity to showcase the high impact nature of APN Outdoor’s transit formats, but moreover to celebrate the glamour and high energy of Mardi Gras, and the AOC’s involvement in this great event.

Janine Wood, general manager- marketing, APN Outdoor commented on the promotion saying, “We are proud and excited to support an event which strengthens our relationship with the Australian Olympic Committee and promotes the iconic Sydney celebration of Mardi Gras.

“As well as this we are always keen to get amongst the spirit of Mardi Gras and what better way to do so than being driven around in a giant rainbow flag!”

APN Outdoor partners with a number of arts and cultural organisations and events throughout the year including the Sydney Festival, The Australian Ballet and the Perth Fringe Festival to name a few.
