OMD Appoints New Business Director To Lead Tourism Accounts

OMD Sydney have today announced the appointment of Daniel Clark to the position of Business Director leading the Tourism Australia and helloworld accounts.

Clark joins OMD from his role as manager, media lead at ING Direct.

Clark’s 14 years industry experience across Australia and UK covers roles at Euro RSCG, MPG London and then Starcom MediaVest where he led the AAPT and Bankwest client accounts. In 2009 Clark moved to Ikon Communications with the Bankwest account where he was a client services director on Bankwest before transitioning to the Vodafone account. In October 2012 Clark joined ING Direct to run the marketing finance and media for the bank.

Aimee Buchanan, managing director OMD Sydney commented: “We are very excited to have secured a standout talent like Daniel to lead these two key OMD clients. He has a fantastic reputation in market, and will be a great asset to the OMD team”.

Clark said of his appointment: “I have had a great time working on client side across an incredible piece of business at ING Direct. However, I am very much looking forward working in agency land again, and to do that with OMD and on such an important client, is a fantastic opportunity.”

Clark continues: “I have always admired OMD as an agency that not only has great leadership, amazing clients and staff, but also does great work. I am excited to be a part of the culture at OMD, and contributing to this reputation”.

Clark will be located in Sydney, he will report to Aimee Buchanan, and his appointment is effective 2nd February 2015.
