Ten tops entertainment on quiet Wednesday

Ten’s resurgence continued last night with three shows inside the top ten most watched, claiming three of the top four slots in the 18-49 demographic.

Mr & Mrs Murder cleaned up for the 8.30pm slot with 710,000, ahead of ten News at Five (667,000) and two episodes of Modern Family (658,000 and 633,000), claiming a competitive 15.3% share for the main channel, according to the OzTam overnight ratings.

Despite this the ratings will not count in the end of year tallies as this week is a non-ratings week.

Seven’s Home and Away was the top non-news show on 924,000 in third overall, while ABC News (907,000) edged out Today Tonight (866,000) and A Current Affair (895,000), with Nine News (1.132m) and Seven News (1.099m) claiming the top two spots.

Overall Nine won the night with a 27.5% network share, Seven was second with 27.2%, Ten third with 21.3% and ABC fourth with 18.4%, with SBS on 5.7%.
