“Officeworks has appointed Haystac to manage its national consumer public relations account following a competitive pitch.

The account win will have Haystac lead consumer PR initiatives for Officeworks’ key national marketing, local and community programs for its 150 store network and online channels.

Haystac’s first major campaign for Officeworks will be Back to School.

The agency will have a core team of five consultants on the account and work alongside Officeworks’ agency partners AJF Partnership (creative), Initiative (media planning), DT Digital (digital) and Rapp (CRM).

“Beyond their strategic insights, creativity and an understanding of the Officeworks business, Haystac demonstrated a solid understanding of working in an integrated agency model,” Karl Winther, Officeworks National Marketing Manager said.

“We look forward to working with the Haystac team and having their thinking complementing the fantastic work being done by our agency partners.”

“As the leading retailer and supplier of office products and solutions, Officeworks provides Haystac with a great opportunity to add to our retail credentials and work with this iconic brand. We are delighted to be appointed to the business, and contribute to Officeworks’ success in the coming year,” Patrick O’Beirne, Haystac General Manager, Australia said.

Officeworks’ partnership with Nightingale Communications (corporate and investor relations) and Hawker Britton (government relations) remains the same.”
