Global Buy Now Pay Later company, Zip Co Limited, has announced the appointment of Nicola King as its new director of global communications.
King joins Zip from her role as a managing director at global consulting and advisory firm Teneo, where she spent six years supporting the firm’s international clients, first from London and more recently from Teneo’s Sydney office.
Based in Sydney, King will lead external and executive communications, working with ‘Zipsters’ across the company’s 12 international markets to implement a global communications strategy that drives Zip’s renewed purpose to rebalance the power of payments, aiming to put people at the centre.
Chief customer officer of Zip, Steve Brennen, said: “Nicola is an incredibly accomplished communications leader, with professional strategic and management experience that spans a wide range of industries and sectors.
“She brings a breadth of insight and knowledge to the role, Nicola understands the complexity of being a global brand, challenging the status quo.
“She’ll work hand-in-hand with our executive team, to drive brand awareness and trust among our global merchants, customers and partners.”

King assumed the role at Zip on 29th June, reporting to Zip chief customer officer Steve Brennen.
