Acast has announced a global partnership with Julia Gillard’s A Podcast of One’s Own with Julia Gillard, helping expand the reach of the thought-provoking podcast that explores the topic of women in leadership.
As Gillard’s exclusive hosting and distribution partner, Acast will deliver the strongest technical infrastructure for the team behind A Podcast of One’s Own with Julia Gillard to manage, grow and distribute content across all podcast platforms in Australia, the UK and globally.
Julia presents the podcast in her capacity as chair of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King’s College London. Any future earnings from the podcast will go back into funding for the research institute, furthering the work they do to create a world in which being a woman is not a barrier to being a leader.
Director of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, Professor Rosie Campbell said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Acast to expand and grow our podcast both in Australia, the UK and in the rest of the world.
“A Podcast of One’s Own aims to put a spotlight on women leaders from all walks of life across a range of sectors. By celebrating their stories and learning the lessons from their lives, we can gain a better understanding about what needs to be done so that more women get to lead. With Acast’s support we’ll be able to reach new audiences and share our message as widely as possible”.
Acast is the biggest podcast platform in the world, working with major media organisations in the audio space including the BBC, Wondery, The Guardian and The Economist. Locally they have helped the likes of Seven West, Network Ten and Vice Australia enter the podcast space.
In addition to major media organisations, Acast is committed to supporting independent podcast producers. A Podcast of One’s Own with Julia Gillard joins other leading independent podcasts hosted and distributed by Acast including David Tennent Does a Podcast With… and The Osher Günsberg Podcast.
