UniSuper – the $110 billion fund now open to all Australians, has announced three new appointments to its executive leadership team.

Dani Murrie (main photo), chief marketing and growth officer, Danielle Mair, chief member and advice officer and Anastasia Crisafi, chief financial officer.

UniSuper’s CEO, Peter Chun said: “We’re excited to welcome these talented executives to our leadership team.

“I look forward to working with them to set the fund up for continued success and drive forward our purpose  delivering greater retirement outcomes for members.”

“The three newly created roles will support organisation-wide strategic alignment in how the business delivers greater value to members through competitive returns, low fees and excellent service.

“UniSuper has always championed Australia’s brightest thinkers, across our member base and our employees, and I am focused on bringing together a leadership team with a wide variety of skill sets and backgrounds. We’re proud to be a diverse fund for a diverse nation.

“Creating these positions and appointing three remarkable leaders was an easy choice for us – they were the standout candidates.

“Each new hire brings unique and valuable perspectives to the fund as we put a greater focus on growth and financial management in an increasingly competitive super landscape.”

Murrie has been appointed chief marketing and growth officer, joining UniSuper from MetLife, following an extensive career in finance, working across Colonial First State, Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, and First Abu Dhabi Bank in the United Arab Emirates.

Having joined UniSuper in January, Murrie’s remit brings together marketing, digital, product and employer partnerships to drive growth for the fund.

Murrie said: “UniSuper has such a strong story to tell – with a history of strong long-term performance* and low fees. I look forward to accelerating the lift in brand awareness and delivering an exceptional employer and customer experience.

*past performance is not an indicator of future performance.

Danielle Mair has been appointed Chief Member and Advice Officer and will be responsible for streamlining member experience.  She will commence her role on 1 March 2022.

Mair joins UniSuper from Sunsuper where she has held a number of senior leadership roles including her current role, Acting Chief Strategy, Member Growth & Advice Officer.  Prior to Sunsuper Danielle held senior leadership roles at Macquarie Bank, MBF and Suncorp.

Mair said: “I’m looking forward to taking on the new challenges presented by joining a growing fund – helping ensure that our members get the most out of their super.

Rounding out the appointments is Anastasia Crisafi as a chief financial officer, joining UniSuper from Link Group where she worked for the last seven years (with an additional six years prior at Superpartners), most recently as the Global Finance Director of Retirement and Superannuation Solutions.

Crisafi said: “I’m excited to work for a fund that recognises the importance of diversity in leadership roles – different backgrounds and perspectives are integral to the success of any organisation. UniSuper is driving positive change in the industry, and I’m proud to be a part of that change.”
