Nine’s Married At First Sight wins entertainment again netting 862,000 viewers. Personally, I care less about who ends up together and way more about who is going to be the next influencer that convinces me to buy from an activewear brand I’ve never heard of.
Who’s the Martha of this season? This is the question Australians need to be answered.
I know everyone’s been pointing out the ratings are slightly down from last year but the truth is the show is still dominating – so plenty of people are still hooked.
Also if you’ve ever wanted to watch two newlyweds fight over how to use cutlery then this is the season for you.
Moving on! Oztam reported that Seven News came top overall with 989,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 849,000. A Current Affair had 697,000 viewers and ABC News had 630,000 viewers – Honestly, Tracey Grimshaw should also host a Morning Show.
In entertainment, Seven’s Home and Away grabbed 535,000 viewers and The Chase earned 497,000 viewers. Meanwhile, Seven’s Voice Generations didn’t beat its long-running soap pulling in 500,000 viewers – seriously tune in just to see how fabulous Rita Ora looks – there was a feather top last night!
For Nine, Hot Seat had 394,000 viewers and The Weakest Link pulled in 372,000 viewers – there’s nothing like watching a quiz show to make you realise your University degree taught you nothing.
Over at the ABC, 7.30 had 476,000 viewers, Outback Ringer nabbed 278,000 viewers and The Secret Life Of Our Urban Birds pulled in 319,000 viewers – interestingly Urban Birds also sounds like the name of an HBO show written by Lena Dunham.
On 10, Survivor nabbed 492,000 viewers and The Project had 401,000 viewers. Is it just me or has the pandemic made Survivor almost seem like a travel show? You know a travel show where people really unappetising food.
The Nine Network won the night overall with 32.5 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Seven Network with 26.0 per cent and Network 10 had 18.0 per cent.
The ABC TV Network had 15.3 per cent and the SBS Network had 8.2 per cent.
