Whilst Today show host Karl Stefanovic often talks about his life with his wife Jasmine Yarbrough on-air, new Today host Sarah Abo never speaks about her marriage with Cyrus Moran.
Someone who works on the show told New idea magazine that Abo is “hell-bent” on keeping her marriage out of tabloids after seeing the media frenzy following Stefanovic’s divorce from his ex-wife.
The source said that Abo is ‘very protective of Cyrus’ and has told Nine bosses that he is “off-limits” from on-air discussions.
“By nature he is publicity-shy. He much prefers being behind the scenes, supporting his wife as she navigates her way through one of the toughest TV gigs,” the insider said.
Not much is known about him, other than that he works as an international trader in the steel industry.
Abo, who was previously a reporter on 60 Minutes, avoids posting photos of her husband on social media, although she did post a blurry photo of the two of them when it was his 40th last year.
Abo joined the Today show in January this year and is a familiar face to viewers of the Nine breakfast program as she had filled in for absent hosts last year.
