Bridey Drake has been crowned TikTok Creator of the Year at the 2024 TikTok Awards, presented by CeraVe. Beating fan favourites like Elle Ray, Maddy MacRae, Jonah Singer, and the interior design duo Josh Jessup & Matt Moss, Bridey’s win cements her status as one of Australia’s most loved creators.

With more than three million followers, she’s not only a TikTok star but also the creative force behind the successful pyjama brand Night Sweet Thing.
“This is such a huge honour, winning this award means so much, as TikTok has played a huge role in where I am today. Everything I have achieved as a creator and a business owner has been made possible thanks to this incredible platform. I’m also so grateful to my amazing TikTok community who have been by my side since this journey began! I can’t wait to keep creating, connecting, and sharing. Thank you to everyone who voted for me,” said Drake.
In addition to a record number of nominees and award categories, more people than ever voted this year. In fact, on average, around 155,000 votes were cast every day, bringing the total number of votes to 3.4 million – that’s one million more votes than last year. The huge number of votes now cement the TikTok Awards as arguably the most popular publicly voted awards show in Australia.
With millions tuning in live and thousands attending in person, fans were treated to a night of unforgettable moments, including music stars Cyril Riley, Carla Wehbe, Memphis L.K, and Shannon Noll. Hosted by conservationist and TikTok sensation Robert Irwin alongside Indy Clinton and Kat Clark as co-hosts, the night was closed out with a performance by international pop sensation JoJo Siwa, who made her long-awaited return to Australia after four years, leaving the audience wanting more.
The red carpet sparkled with glitz and glamour as creators, VIPs, sports stars, and celebrities gathered at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion for the star-studded event. Aussie favourites like Anna Paul, Nedd Brockmann and Brenton Thwaites added local star power alongside Olympian Tina Rahimi and Paralympians Col Pearse, Grant ‘Scooter’ Patterson, and Keira Stephens.
Bringing some international TikTok stardom down under were UK viral sensations Maddie Grace Jepson and US filmmaker and content creator Cole Walliser.
“Every year the awards get bigger and better, with this year our biggest yet. We had a record number of people in the room, many more watching from home, and more than three million votes cast. In addition, we had terrific brand partners that really understand the magic of TikTok. But, none of this would have been possible without our amazing creators. Winning a TikTok award is a game-changer for many as it opens up new opportunities including brand deals, and global recognition. I can’t wait to see what these talented creators do next,” said Simon Bates, head of content for TikTok Australia and New Zealand.
Other winners on the night included Melbourne’s Leah Halton, who took out Video of the Year for her viral lip-syncing video, which now boasts over 940 million views, making it one of the most-watched videos globally in 2024. Victoria’s Edgars Mission, a not-for-profit sanctuary for rescued farmed animals, was honoured with the TikTok for Good Award. And former TikTok Creator of the Year, Kat Clark, claimed Business of the Year for her family’s thriving skincare brand, Kaladé.
