Music streaming giant Spotify has expanded its sales division across Australia and New Zealand with two key senior hires.
Dan Robins joins Spotify as head of programmatic and data from OMD, where he was head of interactive.
Robins brings 10 years of digital industry experience, having worked with clients such as Telstra, Qantas, TABCORP and McDonald’s.
Also joining Spotify is Collene Wright as its Melbourne sales director. Wright is Spotify’s first sales hire in Melbourne, whose previous experience includes a number of management roles at Adshel and APN Outdoor.
Robins and Wright will commence their new roles in early May, and will report directly to Spotify’s head of sales for Australia and New Zealand, Andrea Ingham.
Ingham said: “This year marks five years for Spotify in the Australian market. We have continued to experience solid growth with no signs of slowing down, and are thrilled to have talent of this calibre join the team.
“Australia is one of the top three programmatic audio revenue markets for Spotify globally. The Australian market has always been incredibly receptive to audio, and programmatic audio – our newest offering – is no different. There’s a huge opportunity for growth.”
