October’s Most Popular Podcasts Show Some Surprising Moves In The Top 100

New entrants have made their way into the top 100 podcasts in Australia, while only slight moves were recorded for the nation’s most popular ones, Triton Digital’s Australian Podcast Ranker shows.

One of the world’s most popular podcasts, Stuff You Should Know, published in Australia by ARN/iHeartMedia, remained the most downloaded podcast in the country for the month, with 19 new episodes during October.

The podcast was followed by two Australian podcasts: Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime, and SCA-PodcastOne Australia’s Hamish & Andy, which both had no more than five episodes for the period.

AFL Trade Radio (Sports Entertainment Network) was the biggest mover in terms of positive growth, gaining 45 positions to seventh place on the rankings. A total of 205 new episodes were released in October.

While the stinker of the month was Sky News – The Bolt Report (News Corp Australia), which dropped 44 positions to 100th on the rankings. A total of 16 new episodes of The Bolt Report were released in October.

Three new entities appeared in the Top 100 Podcast Ranker this reporting period, including Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project (SCA-PodcastOne Australia), Hidden Brain (Stitcher) and Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People (Stitcher).

As for the All-Australian Top 100, two new entities appear this reporting period, including Dr Justin Coulson’s Happy Families (ARN/iHeartMedia).

Casefile True Crime remained the most downloaded Australian podcast in the country, trailed by Hamish & Andy and From The Newsroom (News Corp Australia).
