Monday TV Wrap: Seven’s ‘Dance Boss’ Fizzles On Debut

Seven’s Dance Boss got off to a rather ignominious start last night, with the new show failing to crack the 600,000-mark.

The Dannii Minogue-hosted amateur dance competition managed only 599,000, with this morning’s reviews labelling it, heaven forbid, the “worst show on TV”.

However, it was all the more better news for Nine’s returning The Block that won the night with 1.14 million viewers and handed the network a Monday night win too.

Nine had 30.8 per cent audience share to Seven’s 26.8 per cent. Ten managed 19.1 per cent, the ABC had 17 per cent and SBS pulled 6.3 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm new bulletin (1.15 million) was the most watched show of the night, beating rival Nine (1.05 million). A Current Affair managed 854,000.

Other standouts for Nine included Doctor Doctor (726,000) and Hot Seat (568,000).

Over at Seven, Home And Away had 710,000, The Chase pulled 681,000 and Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back had 329,000.

For Ten, Have You Been Paying Attention? was the network’s best with 661,000. Australian Survivor struggled to 592,000 and The Project pulled 550,000.

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (746,000), Australian Story (639,000), 7.30 (576,000), Four Corners (517,000), Media Watch (465,000), Q&A (327,000) and Think Tank (253,000).

The SBS’ best was Inside Windsor Castle that pulled a right royal 288,000.
