Nine’s Married At First Sight was Monday’s most watched show and, again, has put even more distance between it and rival MKR that appears to have well and truly lost its invincibility crown.

MAFS pulled 1.16 million viewers last night compared to MKR’s 1.01 million. Sadly for Ten, I’m A Celebrity continues its downward trajectory, managing only 621,000.

However, the Winter Olympics (960,000 last night) are proving gold for Seven, again handing the broadcaster an easy win last night with an impressive 38.5 per cent audience share. Nine was second with 27.2 per cent, Ten pulled 15 per cent, the ABC managed 14.3 per cent and SBS had five per cent.

The Olympics is also having a halo effect for Seven’s news programming. Its 6pm bulletin beating Nine’s 1.04 million to 960,000.

For Nine, MAFS aside, ACA (877,000), Underbelly Files: Chopper (696,000), Hot Seat (477,000) and Chopper: In His Own Words (310,000) was the story of its night.

Over at Ten, The Project had 544,000, TEN Eyewitness News pulled 456,000, Family Feud enjoyed 294,000 and Law & Order: SVU roped in 259,000.

The ABC’s night of current affairs played out thus: 7pm news (768,000), 7:30 (599,000), Four Corners (511,000), Australian Story (501,000), Media Watch (500,000) and Q&A (397,000).

SBS’ best for the evening was Michael Mosley: Trust Me I’m a Doctor with 197,000.
