Michael McConville has departed Cummins&Partners as the agency’s CEO, according to reports.
He joined the Cummins&Partners just over two years ago to head up the agency’s Sydney, Melbourne and New York offices.
The agency’s eponymous founder and chief creative, Sean Cummins, confirmed to Mi3 that McConville exited four weeks ago but declined to comment further. It is unclear at the moment whether the role will be replaced.
“We can say that after a huge two years, we achieved a lot and put some great people in there who I’m proud to have worked with,” he told Mi3.
McConville succeeded Kirsty Muddle when he joined Cummins&Partners as CEO after nearly 14 years in the UK, where he served as managing partner for one of the UK’s most storied agencies, Adam&EveDDB, s well as leadership roles at Engine (now WCRS).
At Cummins&Partners, he overhauled the leadership team and structure by hiring VML’s Katherine Chen as Sydney GM, Special’s Sarah Raine as Melbourne GM, Tim Collier as strategy lead and Adam&EveDDB’s Louis Lunts to head up its New York operations.
McConville did not confirm to Mi3 whether he had a new role lined up.
