Melbourne Storm Renews Carsales Sponsorship In New Three-Year Deal

Melbourne Storm has today announced the renewal of its sponsorship with carsales, signing a three- year agreement that strengthens Australia’s #1 for cars’ support and commitment to the NRL club.

The extended partnership of the two Melbourne neighbours will officially commence in line with the 2023 NRL Premiership season.

Throughout the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons, the iconic carsales branding will feature prominently on Storm players’ jerseys, training balls and gear, and via on-field signage during Storm home games.

To celebrate the renewed partnership and the start of Melbourne’s 12th consecutive finals campaign, Storm and carsales have combined with Wall Lords to create an eye-catching Melbourne Made mural, featuring larger than life Storm stars Ryan Papenhuyzen, Jahrome Hughes and Xavier Coates.

It’s located near Richmond Station, just a short walk from both organisations’ home base, and is sure to be a massive hit with members and fans after Papenhuyzen put the finishing touches on the artwork this morning.

Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski said the long-term partnership presented some exciting opportunities for the club.

“We’re honoured to have carsales commit to a further three years with Storm after a very successful start to our partnership,” he said.

“We have quickly developed a close relationship with carsales, aided by the fact that our two home bases are separated by just a few hundred metres.

“carsales have a team-driven focus which aligns with what we do here at Storm and we are keen to build on the idea sharing that has already occurred across our two organisations, as well as helping to promote the benefits of being a carsales customer.”

The extension of the Melbourne Storm sponsorship reinforces carsales’ commitment to engage with NRL fans nationwide.

“Three years is a long-term commitment in the current sporting landscape and it’s indicative not only of the opportunity we see but also the strong alignment of cultures at the Storm and carsales,” said carsales Managing Director Australia, Paul Barlow.

“Sport and carsales are a great mix. Behind every successful sporting team is passion, integrity and most importantly, teamwork.

“One person might score a try but it’s the rest of the squad that gets the ball in position. Planning, preparation and performance is key – and these sporting team dynamics are also fundamental for a great business and culture.”

In anticipation of the extended partnership announcement Storm coach, Craig Bellamy, hosted a leadership retreat with the carsales executive recently.

Barlow commented: “Craig’s thoughts on building high performance teams really resonated with the carsales leadership. It’s opportunities like this workshop that reinforce our belief in the alignment Storm and carsales share.”
