As a data engineer at Quantium, Olena Aleksieieva is responsible for creating data storage solutions for major Australian brands.
This includes supermarket giant Woolworths.
Aleksieieva worked on the internal development of a Core Data Model pipeline consolidation project to allow for adapting Quantium Retail Data Products for Woolworths.
Since July 2019, she has been working on Quantium’s Retail Core Data Model for Woolworths data, building a new consolidated data backbone for Quantium Retail products built from Woolworths data. The end goal is producing clean, unified and structurally consistent data, which can be easily shared and reused across multiple projects.
The project earned the praise of Woolworths, both for its quality and the speed of implementation.
Proficient in Spark, Scala, Hadoop and Data Engineering, Aleksieieva’s technological background and extensive domain knowledge allows her strike a balance between creating ideal technical solution and achieving business goals.
Apart from improving and expanding her own technical skillset, Aleksieieva is actively involved in mentoring and upskilling junior employees, as well as providing support for the fellow developers across all seniority levels.
