Following new business growth, independent media agency Match & Wood has appointed former Initiative strategy director Sam Enshaw as its first national strategy director working across its Melbourne and Perth offices.
Enshaw joins from Initiative Melbourne where he won multiple Festival of Media Asia and Festival of Media Global awards for Swinburne University’s ‘Swintopia’ campaign. Prior to Initiative he was regional implementation director at IPG Mediabrands in Singapore, assisting clients including Johnson & Johnson, Netflix and Spotify. He has also worked at Carat, McCann and UM.
Based at Match & Wood in Melbourne, Enshaw will lead the strategy offering across both its offices, working on key clients in the education, energy, health insurance, finance and technology sectors.
Match & Wood managing director, Lyndelle O’Keefe, said: “Sam is an award winning strategist who has worked with major brands both in Australia and across the region. He’s a great talent who will further enhance our core strategic capabilities, at a time when we are experiencing new and organic business growth. I’m delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Enshaw added: “I’ve long been a fan of what Lyndelle and Chris [O’Keefe, chief operating officer] have built at Match & Wood. They have developed strong teams across both Melbourne and Perth and continue to secure work with leading organisations across the country. I’m looking forward to contributing to the agency’s continued success.”
His appointment comes during a significant period of growth for the agency which has seen 13 new hires this year, including former Reprise and IPG executive, Stuart MacDougall, joining in the newly created role of national performance director; Jodie Allen from The Brand Agency joining as communications advisor, and Keleigh Moore and Tiffany Doan who joined as communications managers coming from OMD and Nunn Media respectively.
