Sky News presenter Andrew Bolt has held his own after being ambushed by masked protesters at a Melbourne restaurant just as he was about to attend a book launch.
CCTV footage has been released that shows a woman approaching Bolt at the restaurant to get a selfie, only for two men to appear out of nowhere (flanked by a cameraman), push the lady aside and jump the controversial TV and radio personality, spraying him with some “sticky liquid with glitter and dye”, according to Bolt.
“Bat luck for them, of course. I don’t do running and hiding,” Bolt said as he addressed the situation on his show, The Bolt Report, last night.
Bolt claimed he left a “big bruise” on the side of one of his attacker’s faces, along with “another bruise between his legs”.
