KIIS’ Kyle & Jackie O “Dumped” On Air This Morning

KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show was momentarily pulled from the air this morning when she hit the ‘dump’ button after accidentally calling Delta Goodrem live on air.

Earlier on the show, co-host Jackie O Henderson was flirting with Goodrem’s boyfriend Matthew Copley because she believed he was single.

Copley, a guitarist, was on the show for a live in-studio performance with fellow artist Conrad Sewell.

Henderson, who was unaware of Copley’s relationship with Goodrem, asked him if he was single, to which Sandilands said: “Yeah, he’s taken. Sorry!”

He then added: “Poor Jackie’s the only one in the room who doesn’t actually realise what’s going on there!”

After being filled in on the situation, Henderson said she was “so mortified”.

However, the embarrassment only intensified after Henderson accidentally called Goodrem from her radio desk and couldn’t hang up.

She asked a producer: “How do I hang up, Adam?”

Kyle said: “Can we get an engineer in here? Jackie has pushed every button on the phone screen. Now nothing’s working. Nothing’s working now!”

In a move that usually only then KIIS FM can do, Henderson quickly hit the ‘dump’ button. The broadcast ended and a voiceover said: “This station you’ve been listening to has been dumped.

“This means someone has said something inappropriate and is getting in trouble. The broadcast will return in seconds.”
