Salesforce boutique partner 8squad has hired former Australia Post senior executive Jessica Thompson in the new role of chief operating officer, to accelerate the company’s expansion.
The company is now nearing 50 employees, gained within 18 months of launching, with 8squad helping Australian businesses and building platforms for innovative FinTech business launches.
CEO Frank Cuiuli said: “Jess is a key appointment with a strong history of performance with her previous blue-chip employer.
“She will support our aggressive growth plans for 2021, which include potential acquisitions.”
Thompson was Australia Post’s general manager, service for business & government, in a role that saw her accountable for the organisation’s customer success strategy and delivery to business customers across all industries and segments.
During Thompson’s 12 years with Australia Post, she led several Salesforce transformations programs.
These focused on the enhancement and replacement of core systems and channel infrastructure, cultural and behavioural change and user and customer experience improvement across sales and service functions.
“Joining 8squad gives me an amazing opportunity to work with an innovative firm that has centred itself around a unique business model,” Thompson said.
“We will be focused on creating diverse, nimble squads that really lean in to help customers to achieve their goals.
“More than ever, customers are looking to partner with businesses with strong values alignment to their own, who believe in shared success that supports growth and true partnership.
“8squad has all of these attributes and the prospect of forging lasting customer relationships is exciting.”
She added: “What I find most compelling is 8squad’s ability to support accelerated growth and the challenge of helping to cement our position in the market.”
