“Is That Why You’re Called Big Ben?”: MasterChef Contestants Lose It Over Phallic-Shaped Dessert

“Is That Why You’re Called Big Ben?”: MasterChef Contestants Lose It Over Phallic-Shaped Dessert

You’d be forgiven for thinking MasterChef isn’t the family-friendly show it’s supposed to be following last night’s gag that left the contestants in stitches.

Contestant Ben Ungermann presented a plate of dessert before the judges, who noticed it bore a striking resemblance to a male appendage.

As Ungermann put his “ice-cream for breakfast” in front of the judges, Jock Zonfrillio took a cheeky swipe and said: “It does look like something that you would have in the morning,” which caused the other contestants to burst out laughing.

Fellow judge Melissa Leong said: “I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that saw that. Did he do that on purpose?”

Zonfrillio continued: “Is that why you’re called Big Ben?”

The judges praised the dish, however, before having one last laugh and adding: “It’s a little bit stiff.”

This isn’t the first time Ungermann has made headlines. He left filming of the show halfway through after he was arrested over a personal matter, which came to light last month.

Endemol Shine have been tight-lipped on the arrest, however, issued a statement to the media: “We can confirm Ben Ungermann has left the MasterChef Australia competition. As this is a police matter, we will not be making further comment.”
